TikTok Pro Account & Analytics

TikTok Marketing Expert Tips TikTok Pro Account & Analytics

TikTok pro brings a lot of benefits and it’s really accessible. You can easily switch your Personal account to a Pro account, and it’s free!

The main benefit of switching to pro is that you get analytics.

Analytics is the place where you get critical data that’ll help you increase your chances of ranking better. That means you get more followers and more likes faster. You’ll be surprised to learn that TikTok offers a lot of relevant information that you can use immediately.

In general, you’ll get insight into:

  • your content
  • where the content is displayed
  • follower data
  • what type of content your followers usually watch
  • what are the top trending songs
  • best posting times
  • and more

We’ll get into more detail on each of them in the following lesson.

Should you switch to a pro account now?

Yes!. There is no drawback to switching to TikTok pro and you can always switch back if you don’t need the analytics anymore.

How do you enable your pro account and activate analytics:

To enable your pro account you simply need to:

  1. Go to the 3 dots in the right corner of your screen
  2. go to tiktok setting

  3. Then go to Manage My Account
  4. manage my account for tiktok settings

  5. Then tap on Switch to Pro account
  6. tiktok switching to a pro account

How do you access analytics?

To access general analytics, you need to click on the 3 dots in the right corner and then find the Analytics tab in the menu list.

where to find analytics in tiktok

To access analytics for a specific clip you go to the clip itself, then tap settings and then analytics.

When you enter the TikTok analytics, you’ll see 3 main tabs:

  1. Overview
  2. Content
  3. Followers

1. Let’s talk about Overview:

The first thing you see is “Video Views“. This represents the number of views you get per day. You can switch to 28 days to see more data. By default, you get the chart for 7 days.

Please note, the numbers refer to the Total Views count of your account – it takes into consideration all posted clips! This is where you get insight into what the best days to post more content are . You see, depending on your niche there are better days to post content, days in which your followers are more active and will drive more engagement.

The next section is “Followers“. This shows your followers’ growth over time. Again you can switch between “last 7 days” to “last 28 days” so you get information for 1 week or 1 month. Here you’ll see exactly how many visitors you get on a particular day and what the total number you got to so far is.

The following section is “Profile Views“. This is where you get insight into how many people actually click through to see your profile. These followers are the ones that like your content so much that they want to learn more about who you are. These are the people that will be your best followers, the ones that will click on the links in your bio and also the ones that will like and see multiple clips.

2. Content, let’s dive deeper

This is where you learn more about your posts and trending content.

You can click on each of the clips and get more info on the exact source of traffic (it may be from the “For you” page or personal profile), what is the audience territory and what are the countries in which your clip performs best. Total Play Time will show how much time people spent watching your clip and Average Watch Time will help you understand the percentage your clip was watched – TikTok prefers clips that are watched above 80% of their length and, above all, clips that are watched multiple times in a row.

All trending clips will show up in this section. You see, when you first post a clip, it may get a few visits or maybe a couple of hundreds, but then if the TikTok algorithm decides to further promote your content you may see it increase to 1k or even 10k after one week or 1 month. We will discuss exactly how the algorithm works in our specific lessons.

Clips that are trending and show up here are not necessarily posted in the last 7 days. Clips posted one month ago will still show up here and give you information on where the traffic is coming from.

3. Followers, the most important people

This is where you see the total number of fans (and how much you’ve grown in the last week).

The gender of your followers is displayed as a pie chart.

Do mostly men or women watch your content?

This is helpful in adjusting your content type accordingly. Also, this is the section where you see what are the top territories your followers live in and what are the best times to post depending on your followers active times.

As a bonus, a very insightful piece of data you get here is a list of the videos your followers watched most and their favorite sounds and songs.

You can use this to create content that matches their favorite songs.

So, yeah, this is great info if you want to target your followers specifically – target the sounds that they usually listen to and create content that’s similar to the videos they’re watching. A great thing about this analytics section is that you get to understand what your followers want so you can turn them into more loyal fans and create more relevant content.
